Role Summary :

Plan, direct and coordinates the logistics of all aspects of the supply chain which consists of planning the strategy, the receiving, management of the warehouse, the dispatch, the delivery logistics and the optimisation of the supply chain.

  • oversees the efficient receipt and storage of stock items in all ranges; as well as picking, packing and distribution : responsible for security of bulk store and stock as well as workplace health and safety;
  • and has shared responsibility for recruitment, training and discipline of staff.

  • Main outputs and responsibilities for this position :

  • Ensuring compliance with operational and procurement policies and practices in the region, to minimise off-list procurement at branch level and the consequent proliferation of un-
  • coded stock items of doubtful value to the region

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and adherence to established bulk store procedures among own team members
  • Decisions required in the day to day management of the warehouse, within the parameters of accepted practice / agreed budgets etc.
  • Requirements :

  • At least 10 years Supply Chain and Logistics management experience
  • At least 10 years related work experience in a FMCG warehouse environment
  • Grade 12 Essential
  • Relevant Degree in Commerce, Administration or Supply Chain and Logistics Management
  • Experienced in managing staff, processes and systems in a related field and track record of ensuring that productivity targets are met.
  • Above average excel and data analysis skills
  • As per our client requirements, a clear credit and criminal history
  • Salary Negotiable depending on experience
