A position exists for a Part-time Body and voice lecturer - AACA African Academy of Cinematic Arts : Offers a one Year Acting course designed equally for beginning actors as well as those with experience, the Academy’s acting school provides actors with intensive training in screen acting, modern on-
camera acting techniques, and supporting acting classes, which contribute to the creation of a filmed performance. The emphasis at AACA School of Acting is on providing practical experience and hands-
on education to our students so that not only do they develop their craft as actors, but excel at acting in front of the camera.
Role description Part-time Lecturing, consulting and guiding the learning of acting students at AACA along with associated admin, marking and performances.
Duties and Responsibilities : Delivering curriculum by preparing and conducting lessons. Setting tests, projects, assignments and evaluating them.
Marking assessments and tests. Participating in departmental meetings and subject meetings. General administration duties such as lesson plans, and weekly reports.
Report to Head of School Acting. Assist in student inquiries on course content and academic support. Please send CV and motivational letter Requirements Honours level degree or equivalent in Drama and film.
Specialisation in movement / physical theater and voice. Lecturing Experience. Good communication skills. Goal-driven and motivated.
Ability to work in teams. A strong knowledge of the subject area combined with a broad subject background. Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to adopt the AACA Pedagogy.
