The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the profitable marketing of products and the attainment of short term agreed sales targets, as well as devising and implementing marketing strategies that will ensure the short, medium and long term profitability of the products within the portfolio.
This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, managing consignment stocks and forecasts, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and defining the product vision.
It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.In addition, the Marketing Manager will be accountable for controlling the costs of the department, Advertising and Promotions, Local Travel and Entertainment, within the cost center budget allocated.
This role is responsible for customer satisfaction and market share including ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.
Marketing RequirementsPrepares material to assist with the training of new and existing staff.Co-ordinates the training of new staff and existing staff in product knowledge relating to those brands under managers' control and also competitive products.
Prepares and presents cycle notes to the sales force which will communicate the short term objectives and strategies.Regularly calls on Key Customers nationally in conjunction with sales management, in order to build good customer relations and establish a channel of communication for monitoring market conditions and trends.
Offers technical support to the sales force where appropriate.Assist sales representatives to reach agreed sales budget revenues by : in field coaching, monitoring and advising re each individual's territory, assisting with problematic accounts, assisting in devising specific sales strategies for individual accountsEstablish an environment and foundation for future sales growtAchieves the Region's revenue and profitability quotas for products sold into all customer segments.
Ensure attention and growth in the key account segments. General Provides quality leadership to internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding company values at all times : inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring othersIs responsible for the setting of depot stock models and for monitoring those levels, in order to ensure that there is sufficient stock available to meet customers' and corporate requirements.
Liaises with Sales, Supply Chain, Accounts and the end user for the effective and profitable supply of product to the market place.
Budgets Compiles and presents annual marketing budgets for submission to senior management.Monitors market performance against budget or agreed targets and reports on this performance to senior management, highlighting key areas.
