Sandton - Raizcorp is looking for a highly professional, hands-on Legal Contracts & Policies Specialist who is highly skilled and proficient in writing legal templates, documents and policy for corporate environments.

You need to be a strong writer. However, the role also involves having strong listening skills, and being able to ask the right questions to understand the context, content and purpose of documentation, templates and policy that requires drafting.

This will be a three-month contract focused on drafting and building legal templates, policies and documents for use in corporate and business environments.

Strong experience in and understanding of business, mercantile or labour law will be highly advantageous. What does a Legal Contracts & Policies Specialist do?

You will be working on a specific project with our Business Process Manager to create, draft and write various legal templates and documentation for use in business or corporate environments.

You will need a very analytical mindset as you will have to understand the context of each document, its purpose for use, its common use in business, as well as the specific requirements of our environment.

You must be a strong reader as you will need to research specific topics in a quick, efficient manner and also have the ability to turn newly acquired knowledge into practical, usable templates, documents and policies.

What kind of personality will excel in this role? You need to thick skin and be able to take direct, constructive criticism to improve.

You need to be work-focused, but you cannot be overly sensitive or possessive of your work as you will receive comments and requests for improvements.

It’s just how we work. You need to be intelligent and be able to roll with changes; in any project the best-laid plans will move and shift so your flexibility is critical to your success.

You need to be a positive personality who works with great care. A good sense of humour is vital. What are the minimum requirements?

You must have a tertiary level qualification in a legal and commerce-related field of study A minimum of one to three years’ experience in drafting pleadings, policy or legal templates Previous experience in working with diverse teams (leadership mindset) Strong written and spoken communications experience and skill Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) Proven ability to work with detailed information analysis and implementation Own vehicle with valid driver’s licence non-negotiable Desired skills High emotional intelligence with a real passion for developing people Strong deadline driven and driver personality Creative and strategic ability in developing solutions for delivery issues Self-motivated and organised Exceptional communicator with the ability to create strong, cohesive teams Tenacious with the ability to drive core business behaviours Systematic approach to work Proactive team player Ability to manage under pressure Flexible Strong emotional maturity and ability to take ownership and accountability The ability to take constructive criticism and take corrective action to make improvements Able to travel nationally and internationally
