A reputable client in the events industry is seeking a Speaker Sales Representative professional to join their team. The main purpose of the position is to effectively and timeously facilitate and secure the bookings of speaker engagements at client events.

This will be done successfully by responding to incoming telephonic queries and emails timeously, thoroughly understanding the unique objectives of each client and matching, recommending and securing the booking of speakers represented by the client Build up exceptional, detailed knowledge of each speaker’s profile and their value offering to clients to enable you to easily match speaker offerings to the specific needs of clients Telephonically take a comprehensive needs analysis to understand the key objectives and outcomes of the client’s event Make speaker recommendations to address the objectives of the clients event or reaffirm the client’s requests for specific speakers Conduct extensive research to find potential new speakers direct contact details and at times, find client contact information when required Check availability of the speakers and compile email proposals to send to clients Take full ownership of each client request you handle and ensure you follow up and run the request from initial contact to final booking of speakers, pre event confirmations and post event feedback Maximize all client contact opportunities to showcase your exceptional client service and identify additional opportunities to up sell Work towards strict delivery timelines and deadlines to ensure superb customer service 3 5 years’ experience in a client interfacing / sales role A proven ability to sell and close deals in the services or recruitment sector or an environment where you work with two parties (client and speaker) simultaneously to bring the deal to a close A proven ability to work on multiple deals at one time Experience in a role where there was an obvious necessity to follow up, coordinate and manage a process / project or event to drive it to completion Energetic yet centered individual who has high levels of accountability and ownership Problem solving abilities and the ability to work in a structured manner Ability to work outside of normal working hours in order to fulfill client / speaker obligations Own, reliable vehicle and driver’s license Market related 3 5 years’ experience in a client interfacing / sales role A proven ability to sell and close deals in the services or recruitment sector or an environment where you work with two parties (client and speaker) simultaneously to bring the deal to a close A proven ability to work on multiple deals at one time Experience in a role where there was an obvious necessity to follow up, coordinate and manage a process / project or event to drive it to completion Energetic yet centered individual who has high levels of accountability and ownership Problem solving abilities and the ability to work in a structured manner Ability to work outside of normal working hours in order to fulfill client / speaker obligations Own, reliable vehicle and driver’s license
