  • Ensure accounting standards are in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Dissemination of financial statements and reports as required
  • Oversee preparation and review of monthly general ledger and reconciliations of various ledger accounts
  • Cash forecasts and treasury management
  • Assisting with analysis of business performance
  • Assist in reviewing reported results (Monthly, Interim and Year End), analyze variances and deviations from benchmarks
  • Accountability for allocated costs to correct divisions and cost centres, reporting on variances
  • Capital expenditure management and evaluation of capital projects
  • Implementing, maintaining, enforcing and monitoring fit-for-purpose internal control systems to ensure adequate safeguarding of assets at operational units
  • Standardization of processes and systems across the business
  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy and governance of all financial affairs in operational units
  • Maintain controls to ensure billing accuracy and cash collections within terms
  • Oversee preparation and review the accounts payable sub-ledger reconciliations
  • Implement and enforce fit-for-purpose processes and controls at operational units to ensure accurate and timely processing of Orders, GRV’s and Invoices to enable timely reconciliation and payment of creditors
  • Continuously look to improve and enhance financial and relevant business processes for optimal efficiency & productivity Skills and Competencies
  • Excel and numeracy competency extremely good
  • Strong IFRS knowledge

  • Ability to ensure clear communication channels

  • Preference will be given to SAICA articles
  • 5 years’ experience in similar role
