Client Retention Consultant


Our client, an industry respected life insurer with a footprint in South Africa and a subsidiary in Swaziland would like to invite suitable candidates to urgently apply for the Client Retention Consultant role which has just become available in their Cape town offices.

The successful applicant will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

Purpose of the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing new business with existing clients and / or identify areas of improvement to exceed client retentions targets.

Education / Experience / Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Sales and Marketing Diploma / Degree (Advantageous)
  • Regulatory Examinations (RE5) essential
  • FAIS credits essential
  • Computer Literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Min of 3 years experience in a client service / retention (relationship / account management) role within the insurance or financial services environment.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of long-term insurance products and services .
  • Valid drivers license
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively maintain an excellent relationship with clients through regular contact and resolution of queries.
  • Provide professional and accurate advice to customers regarding our products and services.
  • Provide support to New Business Consultants as and when required.
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Delivery of our solutions according to client needs and in line with Service level agreements. (SLAs)
  • Promote Clients products and brand to clients and distribution channels. Complete administrative tasks in keeping accurate and detailed statistics of all communication with clients.
  • Prepare reports on the clients status.
  • Gather external customer information and share this with your manager and team to contribute to the overall strategy of the department as well as the company.
  • Communicating any outstanding requirements to members through your manager and following up, where applicable.
  • Salary and Remuneration

    Total Cost to Company - 168K 204K Per Annum
