Line Support Specialist (Service Desk) (JB973)


R18 000 R20 000 CTC per Month

Experienced IT Support Specialist required to provide of Level 1 & 2 end user support to all staff including remote support to staff located offshore in Australia and the Philippines.

Responsibilities :

Support the continuous improvement of Customer Experience by understanding and ensuring our existing and new customers’ expectations are met or exceeded

Build strong relationships and work collaboratively to strengthen service delivery across all business units and to our external partners

liaising with all other members of the business to help resolve incidents and problems that arise (desktop end user)

User access setup and permission requests

ensure that a standard operating environment (SOE) is deployed to laptops and desktops

Support duties will span across local support of laptops, to remote support of our virtual desktop infrastructure currently residing in VMware and Amazon Workspaces

Requirements : Essential :

Essential :

2 - 4 years of relevant IT support experience

1 + years’ experience within a call centre / customer service company

Prior experience supporting Microsoft Technologies including Windows 10 (including deploying and patching), Office365, MS Office 2016 suite

Knowledge of Active Directory, User Management, Office365 Administration

Demonstrated experience in supporting IT user needs and effective troubleshooting

Knowledge of Desktop technologies and a thorough understanding of troubleshooting processes and methodologies

Knowledge of industry standard applications and operating systems


Information Systems / Computer Science Degree

Experience with ITSM tools such as JIRA Service Desk

Expert knowledge in supporting and configuring a VMware VDI end user environment

Experience with VMWare VCP, Microsoft MCP
