Requirements :

  • At least 5 to 10 years experience in buying and selling of truck parts within this industry
  • Comprehensive Industry knowledge
  • Advance MS Excel skills (formulas, VLOOKUP etc.)
  • Qualification would be advantageous

  • Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Report directly to the New Business Development Manager.
  • To ensure customer service levels and / or expectations are achieved and exceeded.
  • Increase market penetration by increasing sales to new and existing customers within the three pillars of the aftermarket strategy :
  • Increase the spare part sales at the expense of the competitor;
  • Increase the trailer part sales at the expense of the competitor Diversification : Both the truck spare part sales as well as ancillary product sales.
  • Forging and maintaining relationships and building partnerships with new and existing fleets, workshops and distributors.
  • The Aftermarket Area employee is responsible for the product planning and catalogue development throughout the product lifecycle including : Market and competitor analysis, prioritizing product and customer requirements, assisting in defining the product (distribution) strategy and working closely with Product Support and other team members to ensure that revenue, as well as customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • This job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company''s overall strategy and goals.
  • Explore new ma rkets and opportunities for marketing the spare parts and ancillary (trade) products in the portfolio (service the existing customer base as well as find new customers)
  • Initiate and identify opportunities to enhance the market penetration phase of the relevant products
  • Assist in defining the product strategies and roadmaps
  • Be an expert with respect to the products and the competition
  • To be aware of the latest market trends
  • Strive to expand the range of products with viable solutions (o fferings) in order to improve the solutions offered to the market
  • Present product progress to key leaders within the company
  • Ensure that relevant spare parts are ordered and become available
  • To have sustainable knowledge / expertise on the full portfolio
  • To advise customers on possible solutions for their needs
  • Ensure that the monthly product reporting and sales metrics is accurately completed on time
  • Proper procurement planning must be done as spares are received from Germany via sea freight.
  • Ultimately assist a leading European Aftermarket Brand forming part of a world-class Group by : New product introduction and range expansion.
