    Applicants are invited to apply for the above-mentioned position based in Stellenbosch (Vinoteque).

    The successful applicant will report to the Destination Manager.

    Purpose of the Position :

    To manage the end-to-end competition and awards process for premium wines and spirits, and coordinate VIP guest booking requests.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to :

  • Coordinate competition entries and advise budgeting and payment requirements to business stakeholders
  • Arrange P.R. against online invoices and entries and request P.O.’s from respective departments.
  • Advise final costing for entries to competitions to Brand Development managers, Treasury.
  • End to end management of the awards / competition process including managing the awards competition list (local and international), timing requirements and alignment thereof with stakeholders, ensuring the aligned product is available for competition entry and evaluation OTIF, and ensuring awarded products awards stickers are purchased and all logistics managed to ensure in-market execution OTIF and within budget
  • Ensure the alignment, management, and execution of all internal award communication with the CARA and Brand Teams
  • Assist Brand teams with the external communication of related award communication (PR etc.).
  • Update and manage the Distell awards product list and share with field force
  • Product assessments assist / facilitate sensory panel product assessments internally vs competitors where required.
  • Coordinate requests from Brand teams, Regional Trade Marketing, and Regional Business Managers for inbound visits communicate requests with stakeholders and propose itineraries.
  • Handle all travel bookings and on-the-ground arrangements, act as a contact for visitors. Request a post-visit review and communicate feedback to stakeholders.

  • The successful candidate must have the following experience / skills :

  • A relevant tertiary qualification i.e. (Administration / Hospitality)
  • Computer literate with MS Excel, MS Office, and knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent high level of communication and planning skills
  • Proven leadership abilities
