Factory Co-ordinator / Production & Maintenance Manager required for well established manufacturing group situated in Vereeniging.

Experience in grain production for animal feeds is highly preferential Factory Coordinator (Grain back ground) Introduction A well-established Animal Feed Production plant based in the Vereeniging has a exciting role available for an experienced manager, with a background in Production and Operations Management.

The position will report direct to the Company GM and will be a critical position in terms of the overall success of the day to day operations.

Duties & Responsibilities The Factory coordinator will report to the General Manager, and be involved operationally in all day to day management and production, including : Management and manage controllable cost Report daily production, stock and raw material levels Manage employees overtime, shifts and casual labour.

Management of product quality in production Manage machinery and make sure all machines are looked after. Procurement and inventory management Manage downtime Occupational health and safety Appropriate systems in place to monitor and manage factory expenses (maintenance items, consumables, overtime, etc).

Initiatives in place to encourage cost saving and development of a cost saving culture. Production Record production hourly / daily / monthly and also to review your performance during the different shifts.

Plan for and ensure that maintenance and machine service requirements are performed on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

Clean and neat housekeeping is important. Monitor and control expenditure ensuring adherence to budgetary targets. Manage 3rd Party maintenance service providers in terms of safety, cost, quality and service.

A true team player with good communication and people skills. Methodical and accurate in compiling, recording and relaying of information.

Ability to motivate and help others to reach their full potential. Be strong in Maintenance Management Strategies Built a strong team to support reach company and individual goals Minimum Experience and Educational Requirements Minimum Grade 12 with some after school education (Degree will be beneficial) Relevant qualification in grain will be advantageous Minimum 5 year working experience in Managing production and employees Computer literate (Excel, Word, dropbox, Outlook) Strong admin skills with attention to detail Logistics / Transport knowledge will be beneficial Some mechanical knowledge will be beneficial
