Job Description :

Purpose of the role :

Set the standards, support sites and build operational competence to implement / maintain and continually improve our Smelting & Refining Plant maintenance & asset management performance.

Typical Tasks :

Thought-leader, technical expert and first point of reference for leading practice and emerging technology to optimise maintenance of smelting & refining plant / equipment

External monitoring of standards, best practices and technologies

Maintain currency of the relevant sections of the AS&R Roadmap and supporting documents and tools as well as standards, guidelines, tactics and specifications

Provide SME input to AS&R strategies, tactics, work-packages and task lists to ensure effective and efficient maintenance management for smelting & refining assets.

Continual improvement strategies and initiatives for smelting & refining plant / equipment arising from best practice monitoring, AS&R Roadmap Assessments, assurance activities, investigations and work management processes - performance feedback, A&I and DE

Monitor and review operational performance in smelting & refining plant equipment across Group-wide operations

Set and maintain the minimum guidelines for precision maintenance (e.g. specifications, tolerances) for fixed / processing plant equipment maintenance within the smelting & refining environment and create templates for assurance review processes
