Minimum requirements for the role :

  • A tertiary qualification in Life Sciences or related qualification is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience working in a Key Account or New Business Development or similar role having sold laboratory instrumentation into the Life Sciences Industry is essential.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be energetic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Promoting and training on Company products in both private and state business.
  • Building and maintaining relationships in order to promote laboratory instrumentation sales.
  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets by utilising opportunities whilst minimising risks and the competitions activities in the life sciences market.
  • Conducting Customer site visits in order to achieve the objectives set within the territory.
  • Ensuring that sales activities comply with legal and ethical standards as well as the Companys policies.
  • Meeting the Customers needs as well as resolving all queries and concerns that arise.
  • Implementing Key Account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Managing, liaising and delivering on technical queries with regards to existing and new products for Customers.
  • Monitoring market developments to identify and assess potential new Customers and opportunities.
  • Building up market and competition knowledge by analysing market trends.
  • Implementing volumes and pricing objectives agreed with Key Account Customers.
  • Effectively implementing price increases and maintaining monthly or quarterly price lists.
  • Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
