They are looking for a Cisco Collaboration (UC & CC) Engineer to take responsibility for : IPT Voice and Analog Gateways maintenance, upgrades, refreshing and troubleshooting, etc.
Knowledge sharing with L1-L3 engineers on a regular basis; and,Drafting and sharing of best practice documents.
Essential Function : To apply, you need a CCVP / CCNP Voice or Colab with 7+ years’ relevant experience in a complex organisation.
It’s important that you have extensive experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection / Unity in enterprise deployments including bulk administration, provisioning, and management of endpoints and user accounts in large-scale systems.
You will need solid experience and / or knowledge in the following : Voice gateways : MGCP, SIP, H.
CME / CUE;Dial plan designs and implementation;Cisco Unified Presence deployments with various client application integration : Cisco Jabber, Cisco Unified Personal Communicator and Microsoft Lync / Office Communicator, and,IP routing / switching and QoS.
You will need some experience with Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, including but not limited to UC Manager Integration, basic scripting and high availability clustering.
You will also need to have experience with virtualization (specifically VMware and Cisco UCS B / C-Series servers), Cisco TelePresence video solutions, Cisco audio and video conferencing solutions, voice carrier systems from Telkom, Neotel, Vodacom and MTN, and experience with multi-
cluster call manager environments.
On the softer side, you need to have strong verbal and written communication, good presentation skills and the ability to work in a team or alone.
You will have to rely on your strong problem solving and analytic skills to isolate problems, recommend solutions and implementation of solutions.
You must be able to work overtime as well as work outside of South Africa for short periods when required.
Lastly, you must have your own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license.
