POSITION SYNOPSIS :

  • The purpose of the to manage and execute all the logistics scheduling activities within integrated operations.
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Serious contenders will have a Degree / National Diploma in the field of Logistics / Engineering / Marketing / Finance and minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial operations of which at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity;
  • In depth knowledge of rail, port and trucking operations;
  • Knowledge 1SAP or ERP systems is essential;
  • Valid Code 08 / EB driver’s license is essential.
  • CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Manages the optimal scheduling and execution of logistics plan from operations to product destination;
  • Ensures that logistics scheduling and execution complies with both internal and external processes and requirements;
  • Ensures that business processes and procedures are in place and all the work is well designed to counter the variability introduced through external factors;
  • Monitors product movement records using the 1SAP supply chain process and ensures that execution activities are within the defined operating window limits;
  • Support special improvement projects and initiatives within logistics scheduling and execution;
  • Supports the delivery of Manganese SA’s strategic objectives as defined and captured in the Integrated Operations business plan.
  • Provides input into the quarterly and annual rail forecasting processes;
  • Provides input and supports the management of logistics providers and contractors in line with the Service Level Agreements;
  • Manages all the risks and controls that are associated with logistics scheduling activities.
