Our client is one of the fastest growing fintech companies in Southern Africa and they have a fantastic new opportunity available for a Business Developer to be based at their offices in Cape Town.

They offer a fun, dynamic, and diverse work environment. A key aspect of this role is to grow the business by driving scale as well as expanding product offerings to existing and new markets.

Responsibilities : To drive market penetration, market development, product development as well as diversification of business To develop new business opportunities to expand business Identify opportunities to expand product and services range offered Research all options for value added service products and partnerships in the specific country or region Ensure opportunities are strategically and legally viable Establish cost of different opportunities Identify feasible options and draft proposals Establish a base of contacts in order to develop prospects and leads with various potential partners Negotiate with potential partners in order to obtain mutually beneficial signed contracts To negotiate and close new partnerships To oversee the successful implementation of plans in conjunction with other departments To understand the market dynamics to enable decision making Keep abreast the current future market trends and industry changes Identify competitors and keep up to date on their business models (e.

g. suppliers, platforms, pricing, product offerings, customer retention strategies, etc) To manage own professional and self-

development Requirements : Related Tertiary Qualification in Commerce (Essential) Experience as a Business Developer Experience in a financial services or similar industry would be highly advantageous Knowledge of payments and remittances Knowledge of business-
