Keedo Kids is looking for a talented and creative Fashion Designer to add their passion and soul to all design elements. Ideal candidate will be self-motivated and actively involved in overseeing the end-to-end process in the applicable area of responsibility.

Must be passionate about Kids and Babywear.

Key Duties :

  • Design, Creation and Sourcing of product
  • Compile research from various sources on global and local trends and to create a seasonal point of view to be presented back to your team.
  • Compile designs and prints in line with agreed framework contracted with the Merchandising team
  • Incorporate brand handwriting / personality into the ranges and become the brand custodian
  • Be able to design into a set price point (fabric and garment construction knowledge essential)
  • Develop accurate and detailed techpacks and print artworks prior to set deadline for local and import briefing
  • Presentation of ranges to key stakeholders
  • Creation and continuous maintenance of storyboards and Buy Plan
  • Fittings and approvals pertaining to designer’s portfolio
  • A passion for Kids and Baby wear design is a must
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role (retail advantageous)
  • A tertiary education in a related field (Fashion Design advantageous)
  • Designing and developing product on CAD
  • Photoshop (essential)
  • Illustrator (essential)
  • Researching local / international trends
  • Working closely with Buying and Development Teams
  • Able to work in a high pressure environment
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • PLM and Excel proficiency an advantage
  • Strong administration skills
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
