Description Construction Health & Safety Rep (Krugersdorp) The successful candidate will be responsible for / should possess the following : · Evaluate site safety and environmental requirements · Prepare complete safety files and ensure they meet legal requirements and client specifications · Ensure that the company meets legal requirements for site work · Compile risk assessments and enforce preventative measures · Ascertain training needs for the site · Record, investigate and report incidents · Implement continuous compliance with HSE Management Plan · Ensure that provisions and requirements of the contract are understood and adhered to · Carry out a thorough review of all processes and procedures currently being used and review where improvements could be made to increase efficiency · Ensure equipment, tools and facilities are inspected and maintained · Oversee and advise reps during toolbox talks, DTI’s and Risk Assessment · Attend safety meetings and compliance audits, liaise with clients HSE Departments and Department of Labour Inspectors if necessary Requirements : 1.
National Diploma in Safety Management or relevant qualification / certificate 2. Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction regulation 3.
