About this job

Our client, in the retail industry, requires the service of a Portuguese speaking Butchery Trainer / Assessor to deliver and facilitate high quality Butchery Training.

Duties

Key performance areas :

Engage and motivate learners and employers towards timely and successful completion of qualifications and programmes

Provide training to learners in Portuguese and assess learners according to company standards

Ensure clients are compliant with local and national Food Safety standards

Encourage and foster sales leads through building and maintaining positive relationships with all clients (e.g. providing advice and support).

Monitor and track progress of learners to ensure learning outcomes are achieved in a timely and cost effective manner.

Meet performance targets as communicated & agreed.

Support and work with the wider Food team in Food / SHE related initiatives, administration, programmes and qualifications as required.

Comply with all policies, procedures and legislation

The successful candidate must have :

Matric with a relevant qualification

1-2 years training and assessing experience within the food industry / 1 2 years as a specialist in the meat industry

Must be able to provide training in Portuguese

Must have knowledge of Meat Market hygiene and safety standards

Excellent planning and organizational skills

Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English & Portuguese)

Punctual and reliable

Must be accurate and detail orientated

Must have excellent people skills

Excellent numerical and literacy skills
