Ensure that the system is monitored, cleaned up by using the management tools, available on SAP EWM.
Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximise operational efficiencies.
Ensure that customer orders and jabs are managed daily and that wave item clearing is maintained with no orders in excess of 48 hours.
Assist with implementation and optimization of new projects related to improving the efficiency of operations.
Ensure that all resources, including electronic equipment and materials handling equipment, is maintained and in safe operating conditions.
Ensure that the battery bay is well controlled and all electrical powered machines are changed daily and kept in good working condition.
Analyse all Outbound data from a performance perspective and take corrective action when required.
Ensure that picking supervisor's sign off discrepancies and that picking aisles are neat and product integrity is maintained.
Ensure that all orders are distributed as per Dis-Chem standard operating procedures.
Ensure pick exeption codes are used correctly.
Ensure Warehouse task split function is used correctly with no Unnecessary splitting.
Ensure that resources and queues are monitored and optimised as per operational requirements.
Ensure optimal planning and forecasting of department resources to meet the day-to-day strategic objectives.
Develop and Implement solutions for addressing large seasonal shipments or unusual / special packaging.
Ensure effective management and maintenance of resources, including electronic equipment and materials handling equipment.
Ensure that all stock discrepancies are reported to the inventory team.
Manage shelf life to ensure no short dated and / or expired stock is dispatch to customers.
Analyse and interpret all potential departmental shrinkage indicators and act accordingly.
Ensure that checking stats related to accuracy and productivity is maintained and take corrective action when required.
Resolve personnel problems by analysing data, investigating issues, and identifying solutions and take corrective action.
Ensure all managers and supervisors in the department manage their staff efficiently.
Ensure the training of new staff in that they have the necessary tools and equipment required to perform their duties efficiently.
Monitor staff performance including performance reviews.
Determination of staffing requirements.
Ensure effective management and adherence to GWP, SHE program and OHS act.
Effective and efficient resolution and communication of internal and external customer day-to-day queries.
Build and maintain good relationships with all 3rd party stakeholders and communicate effectively to resolve any supply chain issues.
Ensure that all deliveries are delivered in full, on time and to the correct customer.
Prevent and act on security or risk issues and ensure that risks are dealt with proactively.
Manage outsourced companies, including daily and monthly monitoring of SLA s and costs.
Identify supplier issues that impact required financial objectives and address them at the appropriate level internally and externally.
Proactively identify cost saving opportunities with expert insight into to true improvements and their ability to be effectively implemented.
Manage financial indicators in line with budgets for the operations environment and adherence to corporate governance principles.
Knowledge of Management Systems, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Emergency process, Public Safety and Security, Customer Service, Transportation Principles and Methods, Production and Processing, Material Handling Standards, Administration and Management, Supply Chain and Personnel and Human Resources Management.
Have knowledge of the business measures and targets, directly related to own role.
Demonstrate thorough theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of all Distribution Centre, logistics and supply chain operations.

Grade 12 / Matric
Relevant Degree / Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum 3 Years relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.
Relevant experience in the field of Logistics / Supply Chain Management.
Experience in the Retail / Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Experience with SAP, EWM or other ERP systems.
