Client Coverage : Power & Infrastructure
Develop and execute co-ordinated strategic client plans that will ensure the development of strong business relationships and the delivery of profitable and integrated Standard Bank products and services, with the purpose of creating client value and ensuring optimal client profitability, revenue growth, risk optimisation and consistent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Strategic client relationship management
Drive and lead structured, strategic, proactive, results-oriented client service team engagement.
Execute refreshed, innovative, co-ordinated client plans for core and target clients.
Develop, share and exhibit relevant sector knowledge and understanding of clients’ strategic objectives, their business and the markets in which they operate.
Build deep, relevant and sustainable client relationships, ensuring co-ordinated, strategic engagements and trusted partnerships at appropriate senior levels
Support the Global and / or Regional Sector Head in the overall management and co-ordination of the sector strategy.
Achieve portfolio year-on-year growth and budget in line with sector strategy.
Achieve client profitability measures in line with sector targets.
Manage portfolio costs in line with budgets.
Drive internal processes including, but not limited to, New Business Approval, Credit, Close Monitoring / Watchlist, KYC, Legal, Pricing reviews, Monthly financial reporting, Client surveys.
Optimally allocate credit limits and manage exposures across product and geography, and act as the first line of defence for any identified risks.
Leverage and influence client service teams and internal networks across the organisation in order to drive quality client service and deal execution.
Drive and own personal and career development.
Maintain a proficient knowledge of products, services and capabilities across the bank to ensure relevant and informed client conversations.
Consistently demonstrate CIB and Client Coverage culture drivers.
Fulfil leadership and management responsibilities with respect to reporting Client Analysts.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
Undergraduate qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other relevant degree or NQF equivalent.
Other relevant qualifications including post graduate qualifications such as an MBA is considered a bonus.
Minimum of 5 - 7years of relevant experience, preferably in Power & Infrastructure
Minimum of 5 years experience in the client relationship management environment.
An additional 3 years within the credit or product environment is considered an advantage.
