Role Summary :

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team of professionals and providing payroll and benefits administration support to the GE businesses while focusing on enterprise standards, compliance and standardization.

This role will also develop solid relationships with key stakeholders to maintain operational performance through leveraging metrics and trends and identifying areas for improvement.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Lead Payroll & Benefits processes, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained based on compliance with relevant legal and GE policy requirements
  • Ensure teams are aligned and relevant skills are in place to deliver on organizational strategy
  • Develop and manage the ongoing advancement of the team (local and offshore), including strong development plans
  • Drive strong performance management in the team through clear expectations, priority setting, frequent touchpoints and feedback
  • Champion training and induction processes for new team members and role changes; coordinate and implement training to effectively meet team needs
  • Drive a culture of service excellence within the team; promote Best in Class customer service
  • Leverage metrics to identify trends or problems to maintain and improve performance levels
  • Measure end-customer satisfaction; develop action plan to mitigate operational risks or resolve escalated issues
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within assigned processes; work closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions
  • Develop strong working relationships within the HR community to ensure effective communication
  • Drive GE’s high standards of ethics and compliance within the team Drive and enhance employee engagement
  • Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area (or a high school graduate / GED or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant work experience)
  • Minimum 3 years prior professional work experience (can include internships)
  • Required to travel % of the time (if applicable)
  • Language requirements (if applicable)
  • Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location

  • Significant people management experience in a matrixed, service-orientated environment
  • Strong track record of building, leading & developing a high-performing team
  • Solid understanding of appicable regional legislative programs / processes
  • Experience managing third party providers
  • Effective interpersonal & influencing skills; proven ability to develop and maintain team and client relationships, both in immediate and remote contexts
  • Cultural awareness & sensitivity : ability to flex style to suit differing cultural norms
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges
  • Ability to drive process improvements
  • Proven record of managing metrics, including analysis, identifying trends, and making timely decisions
  • Demonstrated project leadership and accountability
  • Solid understanding of national legislative payroll and benefits rules
  • Data privacy and controllership awareness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in local language and English
  • HR systems knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
