The H Band role is based within Technology Business Unit Business Unit
The role of the is to detect, diagnose and manage incidents for Core Network on 24 / 7 shift environment.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
To ensure that all network elements are monitored o n a 24 / 7 basis.
Capture all network incidents on th e FMS
Report, handover and escalate all network faults according to Fault Handling and Escalation Procedures within the prescribed service level agreements
Perform first line support to received emails and alarms
Conduct proactive intervention including routine tests
Manage and compile reports
Participate in departmental projects
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
Switching Core and VAS
Network Operations Centre toolset
Mobile Network technology
GSM, UMTS & LTE technology
The ideal candidate for this role will have :
Matric / Grade 12 essential
3-year Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years’ experience in Telecommunications / IT or relevant courses with 5 years’ experience essential
Switching core or / and VAS services essential
Network Management (Event and Incident) experience will serve an advantage
The base location for this role is Techno Centre , Bellville
