Intro

The Company is looking for a logistics executive to join the operations team. The Company is a tech centric shipping company that offers clients, all around the world, shipping services to move anything from anywhere to anywhere.

Originally launched to just handle simple shipping within the group, we have evolved to offer a host of more solutions and will continue to be innovative and push the boundaries to solve our clients' problems.

The person would be managing him / herself, so would need to have the maturity to work independently. They should have a strong personality as the team deal with global clients with varying demands in a highly pressurized and time sensitive environment.

You will

  • Manage the daily events of in transit shipments
  • Facilitate AWB generation, and schedule pickups
  • Update and manage clients via the The Company Portal
  • Attend to and action the various shipment statuses daily
  • Liaise with the relevant suppliers for solutions or updates on current tracking events or country / lane disruptions
  • Pre-alert suppliers on specialised shipments, and for the pre-clearance of shipments
  • Assist with preparation of compliance documents with clients.
  • Manage stuck shipments and find creative solutions to resolve.
  • Verify final details and documentation of delivered shipments
  • Identify new opportunities within the business.
  • Are driven by highly pressurized situations
  • You can handle several shipments and queries simultaneously, excellent multitasking skills
  • Have a strong personality, with preferably 1 + year of experience working with customers and problem solving
  • Are adaptable to new and uncertain situations, driven to find solutions
  • Are self-motivated
  • Prefer self-management and strive to solve problems, find solutions and achieve success through dedication without being micromanaged
  • Enjoy engaging with a diverse group of global cliental and suppliers
  • Are open to working flexible hours in that some overtime work may be required or to work on public holidays (rotational basis)
