Introduction The Treasury Accountant is responsible for the bank processing and reconciliation function, which records all funds received for multiple brands, across multiple currencies, request and record payments, provide funding and reconcile bank accounts.
Job Functions Accounting Industries Accounting Specification Duties include, but not limited to :
Treasury Accountant duties :
Daily bank statement upload and check (reconcile) daily balances back to actual bank statements including count of transactions.
Weekly and monthly bank account reconciliations.
Processing bank receipts and allocating to the correct debtor account.
Funding of progressive, clearing Houses and negative wallet balances.
Prepare weekly download of wallet balances.
Withdrawals and funding of online wallets.
Request daily forex trades.
Reconciliation of control accounts (cash in transit, processor settlement, withdrawals, bank post).
Prepare month end and audit schedules for bank and control accounts.
Upload Treasury and Merchant data ports (Datacash).
Weekly cashflow forecast.
Ensure intercompany postings are accurate and complete.
Monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
Review all vendor open items, escalate discrepancies and provide feedback to Team Lead.
Timeously attend to queries from Management Accountants and Recon Specialists.
Other ad hoc administrative tasks as required. Requirements Non-Negotiables :
Completed financial qualification preferably in accounting.
At least 1 year previous in a finance department in an accounting role.
Previous experience working with numbers and data.
Microsoft Excel skills.
