Our client based in JHB North seeks an experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. The successful incumbent will support the Financial Manager in accurately recording and retrieving financial details of the various companies, maintaining financial records and assisting in the production of financial statements, reports and reconciliations timeously to higher management.
B : Responsibilities : 1) Effective, accurate and timeous maintenance of financial data and production of accurate reports : Accurate daily update of foreign currencies in Syspro Accurate daily update of the cashbooks in Syspro Accurate controlling of the petty cash Accurate and timeous completion of month end Journals Accurate import of financial data into Syspro Accurate compilation of Monthly Billing Report Monthly Sales Report Daily Cash Flow Report Accurate and timeous preparation of ADHOC reports that may be requested from the Financial Manager from time to time Preparation of monthly supplier payments Controlling of current open projects from a finance perspective 2) Preparation and compiling of reconciliations to Balance Sheet and updated monthly Audit File : Balancing Intercompany reconciliations Completion of all Balance Sheet Reconciliations, authorized and filed in Audit File monthly VAT Reconciliation and preparation of monthly VAT submissions Completion of Tax Schedules monthly ADHOC Process related recons 3) Accurate and timeous invoicing of project revenue : Full management of Monthly Rental Billing ensuring complete accuracy Effectively address and resolve queries related to Rental billing Rental Asset Addition Report and disposal completed timeously and accurately 4) The management of month end processes : Oversee the operations of the department to ensure month end processes come together before the deadlines Oversee the finance teams functions to ensure financial information is complete, accurate and timeous Support month-
end and year-end close process 5) Stock & Asset management : Effective management of monthly Cycle Stock counts Analysis of stock count variances to ensure within 1% variance allowance Processing of Stock count inputs variances discussed with FM with supporting documentation Reconciliation of stock, including WIP and Non-
Stock Complete management of Assets in line with audit requirements 6) Sound relationships with key internal & external stakeholders : Sound relationships with all key stakeholders, measured via positive client feedback as well as minimized complaints Problems are timeously identified, prioritized and resolved with effective communication to all stakeholders Education and Experience : Matric Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration 5 years working experience within a finance department Understanding of accounting processes and procedures Good level of competency in Microsoft Office, Syspro High level of competency in Excel R 25,000 -
