  • Grade 10
  • 2-3 years’ experience in waste management
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Be able to communicate In IsiZulu and English
  • Driver’s license (Minimum Code 08) KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS : The successful candidate will perform the following duties :
  • Ensure proper deployment of staff within the relevant site
  • Develop a weekly schedule for staff performance
  • Ensure Compliance with HR policies and procedure by managing attendance registers. Attendance at work, leave management and any other business that may arise in the workplace
  • Ensure compliance in terms of grievance procedure
  • Promoting health and safety environment
  • Ensure that employees have adequate Protective clothing and distributed accordingly and that all employees are in compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper storage of municipal equipment and the register of such is compiled and loss / damage is reported POSITION : TRACTOR DRIVER REMUNERATION : R 102 365, 23 P.

  • Grade 10
  • 1 year relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s licence C1
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Be able to communicate in both English and Isizulu KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS : The successful candidate will perform the following duties :
  • Receive instruction from the supervisor with respect to work requirements and designated sites.
  • Maintains the levels of the grass in vacant plots and on municipal Verges.
  • Operate hydro mower associated with trailers on specific specialised equipment.
  • Transport material to / from specific location and observing safety procedures and / or participating in the loading sequences.

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work in all-weather condition
  • Must be physical capable of carrying out labour intensive duties.
  • A Valid Code 10 Drivers Licence will be an added advantage. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS The successful candidate will perform the following duties :
  • Sweeping within the library and immediate vicinity.
  • Picking up litter and items lying in the library.
  • Removing the litter, refuse into bags and ensuring collection and or loading up to deliver to collection points.
  • Removing and replacing refuse bags from collection bins in public areas.
  • Carrying refuse bags to designated areas for collection and / or attends to the loading / offloading of refuse bags into / from refuse vehicles.
  • Cleaning offices, ablution facilities and kitchens Position : GENERAL ASSISTANT POUND (Task Grade 03) Number of posts : 01 Remuneration : R 97 639, 32 P.

  • Sweeping within the pound and immediate vicinity.
  • Picking up litter and items lying in the pound.
  • Removing the litter, refuse into bags and ensuring collection and or loading up to deliver to collection points.
  • Removing old food and waste from animals in pound and disposing appropriately.
