Executive Business Developer Logistics IndustryJohannesburgOur client, a market leader in the logistics industry is seeking to employ an Executive business Development ManagerMain duties : To formulate a tactical Business Development strategy and associated practice delivery plan for a sales value-chain function and influence operational implementation, contributing to client satisfaction, reduced risk and improved profitability.

  • Management of Key Accounts, FMR contracts, Sales, Operational Excellence, Marketing and Promotions, and POPI Act.Key performance areasPart of senior management and Exco;

POPI Act).Constant communication and inter-action with Operations, Finance and other support functions.Contribute to the setting of budgets, minimise expenditure and manage costs and assets effectivelySales and Client RelationshipKey Account Management and liaison with major clients, implement and manage Service Level Agreements and conclude and manage FMR Contracts;
  • Finalise and roll-out of the sales strategy, growth strategy and sales process and manage sales effort accordingly;Formulate a growth strategy and execute;
  • Drive sales in the business through tenders, regional sales, website and lead generation.Manage the Sales-team through recruitment, training, coaching, mentoring, performance management;
  • pipeline management, KPIs, incentives and I-Reach dashboards;Digitalisation of sales effort, pipelines, sales activity, web site enquiries and tendersDevelop initiatives to enhance customer service excellence,Analyse, report on and improve applicable client performance indicators,Develop and execute applicable client growth strategies in the context of a service and market strategy as well as an analysis of client intelligence,Facilitate the process to take on new clients or implement new services,Facilitate the sales process for applicable clients,Identify new market opportunities,Expanding our footprint and service offering;

POPI Act).Nature of positionStrategy, Management, Sales, BD, OE and Key Account ManagementQualifications requiredPost Matric Qualification essential / Bachelors Degree, Honours Degree advantageousSkills and Experience8 - 10 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years operational leadership / specialist experience8 Years staff management experienceFull MS Office Suite skills and experienceSales / Marketing and other relevant trainingProject Management training and / or experienceSome OE and Lean exposureAbove average negotiation skillsLegal / contract writing experience would be advantageousA good understanding of Business Analysis methodologiesAdvanced commercial knowledge and / or skill.

    A sound knowledge of financials. Budgetary and financial skills.Above average interpersonal and communication skillsMust be able to handle multiple projects at a given time, work under pressure and able to schedule tasks and prioritize actions 3SAP Experience advantageousAdvanced business development knowledge and / or skillExperience in all aspects of client relationship managementStrong understanding of client and market dynamics and requirementsProfessional in all aspectsPositive attitudeA clear Criminal record is required for this role as per Company guidelines.
