Well established Hotel based along the Wild Coast of the Eastern Cape, is seeking a Sous Chef to join their dynamic team.

Note : a culinary portfolio (plated dishes) required on application

Applicants will be required to execute a meal on site with the assistance of the kitchen staff to showcase skills for the interview!

Requirements :

  • Must have four years degree or culinary school completion
  • Five years’ experience working in a fine-dining restaurant
  • Experience in Table d'hôte is advantageous
  • Knowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures
  • High level of creativity and reliability
  • Applicant must be flexible with regards to duty schedules
  • Ability to work under pressure and strong work ethics is vital
  • Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

    Full board and lodgings will be included.

    This position may be better suited to single applicants with no children, due to working and living out of town on the remote premises.
