A leading Durban-based Supplier to the major SA retail fashion chains is seeking a Junior Account Manager / Coordinator for their Beauty & Cosmetics department. (Durban, KZN)
JOB DESCRIPTION : Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Learn and develop skills in : Range building for each customerPresenting these ranges to the customersBriefing these ranges into the relevant factoriesCoding and swatching samples
Follow up on samples from both local and China suppliers
Briefing in artwork designs to the designer
Following up and checking designs based on customer briefs
Working with the QA team on product submission and resolving issues (this will help them understand product formulations better and for their development)
Sit in on delivery and production meetings to understand the flow of the business and learn problem solving skills
Assist with groundwork on costing and negotiation - to be confirmed and finalized by Senior Merchandiser
Reviewing different Beauty products and colours from international brands
Smelling and reviewing different fragrances
Wearer trials for cosmetics products and offering feedback
Key Requirements
Relevant experience in a similar role supplying major South African retail chains (can be in clothing / accessories / etc)
Must be dedicated and enjoy a challenge and seeing projects to completion
Must be able to work as part of a team and under pressure
Be versatile and enjoys variety in work
Be creative but also good with numbers
Organised and structured with good attention to detail
Team player
