MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB : Manage and Develop the allocated region. Manage staff and all related activities to promote the companys growth and image in the region.
Direct responsibility for all sales activities and provincial budget.DESCRIPTION OF TASKS / PROCESSES AND OPERATIONS SALES MANAGEMENT1.
1 Plan & carry out direct marketing activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values & product types / mix1.2 Respond to and follow up on sales and have Adhoc meetings when the need arises1.
3 Maintain and develop existing and new customer relationships and develop internal staff relationships with all areas1.4 Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information1.
6 1.5 Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys1.6 Maintain and report on equipment and software??1.9 Liaise and attend meetings with corporate customers1.
10 Manage the external marketing activities required to effectively manage the region1.11 Attend training & develop knowledge and skills1.
12 Recruiting and training of all sales staff and associates in the Region as well as the management of their activities and sales performance.
1.13 Ensure contracts are signed correctly and the type of merchant signed up are vetted1.14 Ensure rejections are followed up by the team1.
15 Maintaining Bidvest relationship1.16 Prepare weekly appointments and presentations to prospective Merchants by gathering information on their needs1.
17 Closing sales by building strong relationships with merchants1.18 Overcoming objections by ensuring correct product is sold to prospective merchants1.
19 Build a strong relationship with all internal partners to result in a great customer experience1.20 Work closely with other departments and find opportunities to cross-sell 1.
21 Work overtime if needed and be contactable over weekends.TEAM MANAGEMENTBe a team player and assist the team to achieve both the business objectives & strategy2.

Marketing or Sales Diploma EssentialDegree Desirable EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGEMinimum length and type of relevant experience required for this job to be carried out at a minimum level of competence 3 to 5 years direct selling experience in a Banking & Acquiring environment.
