We were established to bridge capacity gaps that exist in the digital financial services (DFS) profession with a view to accelerating financial inclusion especially in developing markets.

We do so through continued learning, mentoring and connecting a global network for professionals who work in DFS. To date, DFI has trained more than 2500 professionals globally.

Our students represent more than 600 Organisations in 85 countries, 70% of which have an MBA and 45 % of which are at an Executive Level.

Our League of Professionals is now 2600 strong. We recently launched our Chartered Digital Finance Practitioners (CDFP) journey, which is a 3 year-

certification- the first of its kind, globally. Our vision is to expand these capacity building capabilities to new frontiers in the next 5 years including food security, health care and education.

DFI is a registered Not for Profit in South Africa. Our funders include The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, FSD Africa and Omidyar Network.

We are searching for a junior Salesperson with some experience in business development, to join the team in this newly created Sales Programme Specialist position.

In this role, you will be mainly be working closely with one client an e-learning organisation that focuses on providing digital finance training courses through their online platform.

Your main goal will be to assist this client in achieving their aggressive Sales targets by putting forward prospective students that will go through their scholarship application process.

To be successful in this position, you will need to hold the capability in being able to identify potential student matches using various tools at your disposal i.

e. online platforms, databases etc. Once identified, your Sales pitch around DFI courses and benefits to prospective students will naturally be performed in a way that ensures success in delivering on expected Sales results.

In addition to the Sales performance requirements of the position, you will also be expected to carry out a range of programme admin-

related tasks such as assisting students with applications, receiving course payments, assisting the sales team with the preparation and processing of student applications, work closely with the scholarship funder on requirements the list goes on You will likely still be in the early stages of your career, which may include some experience working within an outbound B2B Sales environment and / or as a junior B2B Sales Rep.

Whatever your experience is to date, it is important that you hold suited life skills’, with some Sales experience in successfully sourcing and securing new B2B business , including at least 1 year experience within a customer service role .

It is expected that you will be capable in quickly being able to establish rapport through the use of your personable remote communication skills, which should then easily flow through to really showcasing your drive as a natural high achiever.

We are looking for someone who is extremely personable, customer centric, self-motivated and highly organised when it comes to attention to details.

The specifics of the job will be provided through training however, it is more crucial that this position is performed by someone who is proactive, can think outside of the box in terms of exploring new potential markets, has the ability to engage with different people at all levels, and is particularly OCD when it comes to attention to detail and process efficiency.

Your Main Responsibilities in the position will be : Identify students from existing internal and external databases, lists, platforms (i.

  • e. LinkedIn, etc.) against a certain set of criteria as potential scholarship applicants; Approach students to encourage them to apply for the scholarship program;
  • Sell DFI courses and benefits to students and convince them to commit payment plans; Assist students in completing the scholarship application form to help with preparing a quality application;
  • Process scholarship applications as receive from rest of the Sales team and work with students to ensure that quality applications are prepared and put forward to scholarship funder;
  • Work with scholarship funder to ensure that scholarship applications are received in time and are processed; Perform all student scholarshiprelated administration tasks and responsibilities;
  • Access backend relating to students check on applications and advise Sales team where applicable of application status. This is a full-
