Position overview
Team leadership, oversight to operations and working closely with the plant Supply chain function through the high-performance work systems and methodologies that’s what the position offers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deploy objectives, goals, strategies and measures to meet or exceed performance goals in the areas of safety, quality, reliability, cost, service, staffing and engagement across the plant operations utilizing Lean manufacturing techniques ie TPM
Build and support Linkage into strategic agenda : capital, loss analysis, people development, workforce planning, change management, inclusive of Employee Relations strategy
Promote culture of total employee ownership by effectively managing systems to drive empowerment and engagement for employees
Promote active participation in learning and continuous improvement activities
Build capability of workforce by coaching in behaviors and competency development
Supervision daily, weekly, and monthly review processes as well as JTE (McCormick Lean program) promotions
Utilize TPM methodologies, systems and tools to ensure comprehensive continuous improvement processes support maximize improvements in the areas of productivity, reliability, costs, quality and safety
Develop, collaborate and engage strong cross functional relationships (Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial, etc.). to enable growth and ensure new and existing products are manufactured on time and in specifications to meet customer demand
Own the operating budget and input into capital budget for end to end supply chain area(s)
Ensure effective workforce planning through organizational design, talent acquisition, performance and talent management processes
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Management or related field
At least 5 years’ experience from working and leading in production / operations roles in a manufacturing plant environment;
FMCG, especially food sector preferred
Experience from leading multiple teams and / or departments to include direct and indirect reports
Confident in achieving project goals and objectives by applying the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources
Management and prioritization of Leading Indicators for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Compliance and Management
Lean manufacturing experience is critical and knowledge of TPM is seen as an asset
Knowledge of an ERP (SAP preferred), manufacturing methods and related equipment as well as FGA / GMP
Knowledge of Effective production techniques, Innovation Strategies, Product Lifecycle Management, Packaging
Ability to understand commercial strategies and to make operational changes to support organizational performance
Ability to translate the Organizational Vision and Mission into Manufacturing Strategies
Ability to drive innovation based on data analysis as well as to use RCA in decision making process
Understanding of key financial topics, including : Budgeting, Cost Centre Ownership, CAAP, IRR, Yield, Waste, Scrap, Line Level Loss Analysis and utilizing them to positively impact metrics
Well-experienced and confident in terms of team management
