Job descriptionOur eCommerce department requires a dedicated and passionate eCommerce Content Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance of website content, including creative briefs, loading of marketing content, customer reviews & use of content reporting tools.

The role will require the incumbent to work effectively across teams to proactively source and load relevant information to drive a rich customer experience online and increase conversions and sales.

This is a fast-changing role with evolving expectations, and we are looking for someone who has a strong aptitude for systems and pushes the boundaries of eCommerce whilst sharing knowledge and learnings with the rest of the team.

We're looking for people who embody our values and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo.Requirements Key Duties : Managing the customer journey and back end of the online store (CMS) including content updates and uploads, promotional / campaign management, content pages, blogs and customer facing information.

Manage and co-ordinate the eCommerce content calendar, ensuring that all relevant campaigns, promotions, and brand activations are scheduled.

Work closely with eCommerce Brand Lead to define the user experience & creative execution of all campaigns.Ensure that creative briefs are submitted to the design studio & relevant feedback is submitted to refine outputs.

Implement and load all planned campaigns, promotions & launches in line with the agreed launch deadlines.Ensure that brand and payment partner campaigns are planned & executed timeously, including stakeholder management with the respective teams to align goals and timelines.

Maintain relevant customer review tools to ensure website remains up to date.Maintain website search & keywords to align with customer expectations, and drive conversion.

Analyse performance through Google Analytics and other reporting tools to provide recommendations on optimizing online content & increasing key metrics.

Optimize the use of AI & personalization tools, including sorting rules & product recommendations.Assist with user testing as needed for any website enhancements or project implementations.

Respond to issues or queries from customers, internal and / or external teams as needed.Job Requirements : Knowledge, Experience & QualificationsAt least 2 years experience in a similar positionMatric and related tertiary education in digital / eCommerceExperience working in an eCommerce environment is preferableHigh-level understanding of web design, web content and web analysisExperience with eCommerce platforms, Google Analytics & SEOKnowledge of digital marketing channels such as PPC, SEO, display & affiliate marketingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically MS Excel)Domain knowledge in eCommerce, retail, online advertising and / or analyticsCompetenciesGoal oriented and self-motivated must be able to work independently with minimal supervisionFlexible and adaptable must enjoy working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environmentAbility to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of individuals with different skill setsStrong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)Strong sense of ownership & responsibility track record of performance meeting targets & objectivesCan do positive attitude eager to grow, learn and develop your skillsDecisive, structured and organised, with a keen eye for detailFast learner with a strong aptitude for systemsPassionate about online, digital, eCommerce, websites and UXPlease note : The Cape Union MartGroup is committed to transformation.
