Requirements Matric and an appropriate bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (NQF level 7). A postgraduate qualification at NQF level 8 in a relevant field (, Financial Management, Public Administration or Business Management) would be an added advantage.
At least 10 years’ experience at a senior management level in the public or private sector within a financial management environment.
Duties Drive the establishment and maintenance of the requisite operating model, structures, systems and processes to provide for sound financial and management accounting, supply chain and asset management for the GIFA.
Oversee the GIFA’s financial forecasting, budget preparation and compilation process, and provide adviceOversee effective financial accounting, revenue, cash management and management accounting processes, practices and controls within the GIFAEnsure sound engagement with Internal Audit and the Auditor General, and manage and ensure redress of audit queries, in support of the achievement of an unqualified audit report.
Ensure effective supply chain strategic management practices and controls that comply with regulatory requirements, and support the GIFA in delivering on its strategic objectives.
