Job Purpose : *Report to the CEO and work as a key member of the Executive and Management team. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has end-to-end accountability and responsibility for finance MI, financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis.
Apart from bringing stewardship and financial integrity, the CFO provides insights on the current state of the business & its future possibilities to deliver on the operating model and to achieve the business strategy objectives.
The CFO creates, builds and runs the financial MI capability, and co-creates, builds and runs Finance capabilities required to lead to exponential growth and business effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements CA (SA)* Minimum 7 years proven financial experience in an Executive capacity in multinational FMCG (Manufacturer, Retailer, Agency) or Fintech industries* Demonstrated understanding and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)* Demonstrated understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, financial modelling and accounting* Demonstrated understanding of Tax Administration* Proven knowledge of principles and methods to drive top line / revenue growth* Experience in managing a finance team*Key Attributes Results driven;

Accountable for the business financial integrity & providing insights on the current state of the business & its future possibilities, to deliver on the operating model and to achieve the business strategy objectives.

Contribute to the development of the business strategy by providing a view on potential improvements for products or services and an assessment of the existing situation and anticipated changes in the external environment.
To be an integral part and driver of strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting of business requirements and decision-making process.
Control and track company cash management and processes, including debtors and expense controls* Drive cost reduction and efficiency initiatives* Lead the finance team through good management principles and accountability for performance* Provides financial input into Selpal strategic plan and direction* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and peers on the Executive Committee* Accountable for ensuring an optimal and compliant control environment within the business that appropriately balances risk appetite and customer demand in order to achieve the financial ambitions and balance sheet aspirations of the business.
Support business leaders in achieving business goals and objectives through the use of advanced modelling and analytics to provide actionable intelligence, beyond data.
With regards to Business Continuation Management (BCM) and Cyber security, influence focus on vulnerability and internal controls assessment to review the data supply chain and identify the location of sensitive data.
The CFO needs to understand the risks and then develop a plan to align the BCM & cybersecurity strategy with the business strategy.
The CFO must also ensure that processes are in place to understand the relevant BCM and cybersecurity compliance and regulatory requirements.
The ability to continuously evaluate and redirect business strategy and value proposition thereby promoting the competitive viability of the organisation.
