The Plant Manager plays a significant role in the development and execution of the annual operations strategic plan. This position is responsible for the performance of all employees and the execution of the manufacturing process while ensuring required manufacturing compliance (e.
g. Safety, GMP, etc.) Responsibilities Set up a new production plant and implement plans for future production optimisation.
Take full responsibility to establish, maintain and improve our production processes, from raw material planning through supply of quality product in time and at the best cost.
Lead and oversee operational activities in our production site. Lead our Do it Best programs in process and cost optimisation.
Close cooperation with the commercial business in supporting and growing our production capabilities. Accountability in ensuring cost optimisation targets is set and met, quality and safety standards are achieved and continually improved.
Develop our production teams’ capabilities and careers. Lead and take responsibility for initiation of capital projects to improve warehousing and production capabilities, including larger capital projects in possible future plant expansions.
Provides significant contribution the annual strategic plan, including budgeting and KPI setting. Support, follow and develop all safety procedures and protocols for a safe and clean work environment.
Provide overall leadership of the manufacturing department. Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with all departments towards continuous plant improvements.
Monitor inventories to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing. Ensure regulatory and quality compliance standards are met. Follows and maintains an environment of food and / or feed safety in compliance with rules and regulations, as applicable.
Qualifications Highly experienced Production Manager with at least 6 years of experience. Knowledge of chemical and blending manufacturing processes.
Must have a solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy. Strong written and oral communication skills, and excellent team-building abilities.
Must be detail oriented and good time management skills. Hands on with a passion to lead and develop production teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong financial skills.
