20 Years experience and knowledge in both the Government and Private Sector and the implementation and compliance within the governance of the infrastructure and services delivery structures within portfolio and project management.

This experience must include the following specialisations :

  • Technical Support Team within the Eastern Cape Department of Human Settlements.
  • Private Sector experience
  • The programme management of the deliverables set out in the Service Level Agreement within the Eastern Cape - Department of Human Settlements
  • The co-ordination of the terms of reference and establishment of a Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Office (PPPMO).
  • Successful implementation and management of a Portfolio and Project Management Office (PMO).
  • The Management and co-ordination of the reporting, governance and technical review on a portfolio level.
  • Unqualified audit experience for government department(s).
  • Strategic and Operational, Governance tier where the Department subsequently met their Annual Targets with accurate expenditure audited by the Auditor General South Africa with unqualified opinion.
  • Assist in the strategic alignment of the Departmental Mandate within the defined Strategic and Business, Functional and Operations capacity focusing as well on the core functions and the key performance outputs.
  • Design and Implementation of the Departmental Project Methodology.
  • The capacity to clearly define the framework required to drive operation through outlining essential workflows and standards.
  • Design of a Quality Management System.
  • Defining and identifying the portfolio project activities and critical milestones.
  • Introduced a Portfolio and Project Management Toolset.
  • Auditor General and Departmental relations.
  • Mentoring and Mentee of Portfolio and Project Management.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Governance support to the Programme Manager Manager / Town Planner in respect of the rollout of the Informal Settlement Upgrade Programme within the Eastern Cape
  • Liaise with Local Government and relevant Government Departments to align the upgrading process with the relevant programmes and policies
  • Prepare monthly progress reports in support of the programme
  • Meet with stakeholders and role players as required
