The Reward, Wellness and Employee Experience specialist will be responsible for three components linked to ensuring a positive and engaging employee experience

The implementation and management of the remuneration and benefits, recognition and rewards model and framework, which will include developing and implementing performance-based schemes, managing global remuneration processes and policies, benchmarking, benefit administration and developing, implementing and advising on retention programs.

The wellness and employee experience components will entail all initiatives that drive SYSPRO’s employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle in relation to the employee value proposition (EVP) and employee brand, employee engagement, employee wellness as well as employee retention.

This role will coordinate all SYSPRO UPlift activities globally.

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge Required

  • 4-year tertiary qualification in an HR or related field
  • 3-5 years specialist remuneration and benefits experience
  • 3-5 years general HR experience
  • Global HR legislation
  • Multiple HR Systems
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Proficient in intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Professional Affiliations (i.e. SARA, SIOPSA)
  • Total package buildup and design
  • Working in a global organisation
  • Key Responsibilities

    1. Renumeration and Benefits

  • Lead the capability through thought leadership based on sound research and best practise
  • Implement and manage the global remuneration strategy and policy
  • Maintain and manage the global salary benchmarking function
  • Manage global executive remuneration processes and coordinate global salary management
  • Implement and manage remuneration and benefits, as well as the recognition and rewards model and framework
  • Develop and implement performance-based incentive schemes , tracking and effectiveness.
  • Conduct research and compile REMCO reports and minutes
  • Provide guidance and input to the budget planning process relating to people cost for retention
  • Conduct research on budget planning and compiling annual reports (annual benefits statements, annual mobility package calculations, tax implications etc.)
  • Manage international mobility package calculations, contracts, and VISAs
  • 2. Employee Experience

  • In collaboration with the talent team, conduct research, propose, develop, and implement a global strategy related to an EVP, ensuring that it is aligned to the overall business culture, and creates a positive employee experience
  • Introduce and manage the EVP strategy to ensure that it positively influences SYSPRO’s overall global employer brand (EB)
  • Assist in the roll-out of innovative EVP initiatives, including social media presence and recruitment / candidate collateral;
  • Partner with the talent acquisition team to drive a specific recruitment agenda using EVP & EB as a basis.
  • Build effective relationships, providing leaders, managers and associates with professional, proactive support and coaching on all employee experience initiatives
  • 3. Employee Wellness

  • Co-ordinate & facilitate the roll-out of the wellness strategy, with continuous, innovative approaches to communications & relevant wellness events
  • Provide the business with insights on employee wellness and the impact of wellness initiatives achieved by adhering to the strategy
  • Partner with a network of global wellness champions
  • Deliver executive level insights on employee wellness trends & risks
  • Recommend key actions for the business, regarding the improvement of employee wellness
