East Rand - Leading Distribution Company seeks a National Procurement HOD Qualification A Degree in Supply chain Management, Accounting, Business management or Equivalent Requirements A minimum of three years generalist procurement experience, preferably within the FMCG environment and ideally within a similar industry.

Experience in Accounting advantageous. Sound negotiating skills. Above average verbal and written. communication skills.

Advanced Excel knowledge (e.g Macros and Pivot tables). Be analytical. Attention to detail. Deadline driven. Have a high energy level.

Ability to work independently as part of a specialized team. Ability and willingness to travel. Duties Choosing suppliers and the merchandise or services needed to meet customer needs.

    Build strong relationships with internal and external customers with a view to enhancing the customer experience. Manage ALL contracts within their category across it’s lifecycle, including terminations, renewals, extensions and re-assignments.

    Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide efficiencies for the organization. Perform procurement analyses and reporting to assist management to track, monitor and achieve departmental targets.

    Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges. Controlling stock levels based on forecasts for the season.

    Delivering Category Growth targets and incentives. Planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyers.

    Liaising with buyers, analysts, suppliers and distributors. Maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate data. Meeting with suppliers and managing the distribution of stock, by negotiating cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing timescales and delivery dates and completing the necessary paperwork.

    Forecasting profits and sales, and optimizing the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas. National travel.

    Ensure stock rotation is achieved. Stock forecasting and distribution models.
