BASIC PURPOSE : Assess and complete technical reviews of audit reports for NSF Supply Chain Food Safety.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Conduct technical and quality assurance reviews of audit reports within desired KPI of number of reviews performed and within prescribed turn- around times.
Review evaluate and potentially reject / return audit reports that do not meet quality, accreditation or scheme requirements back to the auditor along with reason(s) for rejection and action necessary.
Accountable for maintaining open communication with management team to identify technical / quality issues or trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Other duties or special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
To have taken Lead or Internal Auditing courses in Food Safety Management Systems and / or any of the following schemes; SQF, BRC, FSSC, IFS
To have certification, course training, qualifications in two or more schemes ; SQF, BRC, FSSC, IFS
Experience with ISO 17065 and / or ISO 17021 and IAF Mandatory documents
2-5 year work history in food industry, food handling, processing or manufacturing
The ability to operate in a Microsoft Windows and Office environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
College degree in Food Science, Quality Management Systems or related disciplines
2+ years of auditing experience
PHYSICAL DEMAND :
Extended periods of sitting and / or working at the computer
Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Work is performed in a remote office environment.
A laptop will be provided, and an additional monitor is encouraged
