Job Purpose

To provide technical support to all staff and students in respect of installation, upgrading and repairing of computer desktop equipment and computer software

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • National Diploma in IT or equivalent field
  • ITIL foundation
  • 2 years working in related field
  • Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

  • Installation, upgrade and repair of computer desktop equipment
  • Maintain of desktop hardware equipment
  • Telephonic support and remote support to staff
  • Provision of on-site computer support to walk-in staff and students
  • Contribution to CTS desktop management projects
  • Network cabling and switch trouble shooting
  • Provide 1st level / logging / support of CTS supported technologies (e.g. MFDs and telephones)
  • Keep up-to-date on latest technologies
  • Competencies

    Strong ability to work in a changing environment, Good written and verbal communication, Strong problem-solving ability, Ability to work in a team, Client focus, Diagnostic ability, Good knowledge of computer technology, Knowledge of computer network technology, Telecommunication system knowledge, Time management.
