Commercial and Online Marketing Executive ( Luxury Travel & Accommodation) ( JB788)JohannesburgR900 000 R1 500 000 per annum dependantKontak Recruitment is currently assisting a client within the 5-star hospitality sector that requires the expertise of a high-performing Commercial and Online Marketing Executive to drive ambitious sales revenue growth objectives through tradition and online marketing initiatives both locally and internationally.

The Commercial and Online Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing and executing all key growth sales strategies and action plans through effective marketing both traditional and online.

Knowledge of the International inbound market into South Africa and an understanding of the luxury travel market is required.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience within a strategic sales and marketing role3+ years experience specific to the international inbound travel / hospitality market requiredKnowledge and experience with digital and traditional marketing Experience within the luxury travel industry will be an added advantageDemonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels (External and internal stakeholders)Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitorsDemonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutionsExcellent listening, negotiation and presentation skillsKnowledge of booking engines Ability to travel nationally and abroadDuties & ResponsibilitiesStrong traditional marketing methodsStrong online, SEO, Ecommerce marketing methodsMarketing within both local and international markets within the luxury accommodation sphereDevelop & implement strategies to drive sales and to expand the companys international customer baseOwn and exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accountsBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationshipsPartner with customers to understand their business needs and objectivesEffectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentationsManage the current outsourced sales team;
  • this includes performance management and full supportTake full ownership of the brand and provide the vision, mission, goals and strategiesTranslate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategiesMeasure and report performance of all marketing campaignsIdentify and target key domestic and international industry events Market and brand analysis and consumer insightsMonitor competition, market share and anticipate and respond quickly to market trendsEnsure smooth communication between operations, sales, reservations and brandHave a good understanding of all source markets : direct, OTA, DMC, groups / series Identify, negotiate and manage new partner contracts and marketing opportunities to maximize market shareBe strategic with special packages or programs to boost occupancy during slow periods by recognising areas of opportunity
