Johannesburg North - Grade 12 / or equivalent (Essential) - Degree in any business related field (Essential) - Knowledge of payments and remittances - Knowledge of software development - Knowledge of business to-business sales and proposal writing - Knowledge of commercial agreements - Knowledge of software capabilities - Knowledge of operating license requirementsSenior Business Developer New Markets to identify and grow business opportunities and partnerships in order to enhance and develop the business by expanding the business’ commercial footprint, with a primary focus on remittances.

This position is responsible for developing new business opportunities and analysing the viability of potential future partnerships.

The Senior Business Developer manages existing business relationships and executes the launch of new partnerships and opportunities.

The position is also responsible for ensuring all contracts and agreements are in place. The Senior Business Developer New Markets is required to provide strategic focus and ensure the growth of our African corridors through cross functional collaboration with internal stakeholders.

In order to be considered the following is required : Grade 12 / or equivalent (Essential)Tertiary qualification in any business related field (Essential)Ability to speak French, Portuguese, or Kiswahili (Desirable)5 years’ experience in a Business Development or Market Development role (Essential)Experience in developing business in African countries other than South Africa (Desirable) in a financial industry (Desirable) In a Remittances industry (Desirable)Knowledge of payments and remittancesKnowledge of software capabilitiesKnowledge of business to-business sales and proposal writingKnowledge of contracts and commercial agreementsKnowledge of operating license requirementsResponsibilities : Identify opportunities to expand product and services range offeredEnsure opportunities are strategically and legally viableMake contacts in order to develop prospects and leads with various potential partnersNegotiate with potential partners in order to obtain mutually beneficial signed contractsResearch all aspects of potential new corridorsCarry out investigative trips to the various locations on a regular basisIdentify potential competitorsCoordinate meetings with new partnersPrepare all documentation and presentations required for the meetingsLiaise with licensing and compliance department in order to obtain required licensesNegotiating the terms of new agreements, subject to approval from ManagerEnsure all documentation is in place for the final agreementIdentify and analyse competitors, and conduct monthly (as well as ad hoc) pricing testsKeep abreast of market and industry changesResearch all different options for partnerships in the specific country or regionIdentify what competitors are currently making use ofEstablish cost of different partnershipsIdentify feasible options and draft proposalsLiaise with the internal departments to ensure all stakeholders involved in projects are aware of plans (where applicable)Liaise with the relevant parties and Project Manager to ensure understanding of partners requirementsActively engage with partners to ensure partner health improvementManage issues that may arise with partners in a timeous and professional manner, escalating issues to Manager when requiredEnsure the retention of quality partnershipsManage concentration riskEnsure buy-in from partners on any system / legal / commercial adjustmentsManage issues that may arise with partners in a timeous and professional manner, escalating issues to Manager when requiredUnderstand the competitive landscape in each country, informing Manager of potential opportunities and material developmentsManage own professional and self-development
