The ideal incumbent should have :
A Matric or N3
An Artisan qualification or Electrical background
Several years relevant experience in the following is required :
Working experience in preventative maintenance and condition monitoring as well as breakdown maintenance
Knowledge of process systems, including instrumentation, PLC's, software and hardware
The ability to analyze electronic circuitry, conduct fault finding, testing and repair,
Experience in welding, easy flow, high-pressure systems, pumps and compressors
Knowledge of electrical systems as well as equipment in flammable environments
Inspection and testing requirements thereof, and hazards associated with gases
Key areas of responsibility include :
Support the SHEQ processes in the CES team.
Maintain equipment as per planned and corrective maintenance, ensuring that equipment is conditionally monitored to ensure safe operations as well as extend its useful life.
Ensure equipment is maintained in line with legal and production requirements while following safe working procedures (permit to work, lockouts, etc).
Respond to and repair equipment timeously following breakdowns in a safe manner while minimizing production down time.
Contact & manage the necessary resources where skills and expertise are outside of scope of qualification to ensure that the application equipment / plant is maintained and repaired.
Ensure that all critical spares exist to service plant and application equipment.
Ensure that job cards and work orders are comprehensively completed and returned to be captured on maintenance system.
Ensure that all jobs are completed to the satisfaction of the customer and signed off and that the area is left in acceptable condition.
Work overtime, standby and / or shifts as and when required as per Afrox policy.
Feedback to the Service manager on a daily basis with regards to jobs in progress and / or completed.
Be able to trouble shoot and fault find on application / plant equipment
