Job Purpose

  • To contribute to curriculum development and to teach according to a set syllabus while providing support to the Faculty in pursue of achieving its academic objectives.
  • To contribute to academic initiatives undertaken by the Faculty to enhance learning while promoting entrepreneurship learning in according to the needs of the community.
  • To support and expand programmes for co-operative education to achieve its objective.
  • To support Faculty research initiatives through undertaking research and contributing towards group research.
  • Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : SENIOR LECTURER :

  • A relevant Ph.D degree in Education with the relevance of teaching Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy
  • At least four (4) years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary level,
  • A relevant teaching qualification,
  • A record of research outputs : Publications in peer- reviewed accredited journals; presentation of papers at professional conferences, postgraduate students supervised to completion in the relevant field Experience in curriculum development
  • Ability to assess teaching practice in English, isiXhosa and / or Afrikaans
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : LECTURER :

  • A relevant Master’s degree in Education with the relevance of teaching Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy
  • At least two (2) years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary level or five (5) years relevant teaching experience at school level,
  • A relevant teaching qualification.
  • Ability to assess teaching practice in English, isiXhosa and / or Afrikaans
