Senior Project ConsultantReverside is an IT services provider; we are always looking for professional candidates to join our team in Software Development, providing opportunities to work on exciting projects, within our well-established client base.

We are looking for Senior Project Consultant Professionals with 15+ years of solid development experience in Project Management / Project Consultancy and has a solid knowledge base of the SDLC.

The objective of this Scope of Work : The main purpose of this position is to coach and support the project managers within the PA programme in maturing the hybrid project management approach, that is, both Agile practices and advancing the project management capabilities.

Key responsibilities : The scope will include but not be limited to : Collaborating with the Programme Manager in the general project management coaching and mentoring of Project Managers and Stream Leads.

Coaching, mentoring, and supervision of project managers and stream leads in Agile practices and advancing the project management capabilities.

Mentoring of project managers in the use of project management tools and methods as improved upon , to ensure effective project delivery.

Working with and supervision of project managers and stream leads to ensure all project management quality and integrity systems are in place and are being utilised.

Addressing gaps and improvement areas with respect to project management capability and maturity.Assist in Integrated Project Planning : Phase plans.

Ensure project phase planning incorporates principles and practices of agility to ensure successful delivery.Validate and quality assure project schedules in terms of the quality of the project plan, proper analysis of trade-offs, and so forth.

  • Assist in ensuring the quality of baselines and estimates.Analyse existing project plans, in terms of their strengths, risks, and weaknesses;
  • and recommend improvements.Assist with the coordination of relevant functions in providing a holistic approach that includes all factors pertinent to the phase value and delivery success.

    Assist in ensuring effective delivery and project success.Assist and support the lead project manager(s) with the coordination of all factors pertinent to the successful delivery of the project.

    Oversee the application of project controls, evaluate their effectiveness, and institute improvement plans where necessaryLead the moulding of effective project agile teams by introducing, facilitating, and driving requisite practices and habits within the projects.

    Knowledge, experience, and personal competencies : Education and experience : Honour's degree in project management, master’s degree preferred.

    And a bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science, or related discipline.Agile and Waterfall Methodology Certifications, an added advantage.

    A minimum of 15 years experience in project management and / or project consultancy; of IT and Business Systems implementation projects.

    Extensive experience with both agile and waterfall project methodologies implementations.Experience with coaching and mentoring project managers, and capacity building of others.

    Financial services or banking industry knowledge.Expert level proficiency in various project management software, including agile tools.

    Experience working on large-scale, complex, and transformation organisational projects, as a senior project manager.Experience in leading both virtual and physical teams.

    Expertise in creating robust project control, monitoring, and reporting structures.Essential skills and personal competencies for the role : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

    Excellent leadership and motivational skills.Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.Great organisational and time-management skills.

    Exceptional analytical skills.Superior problem-solving, innovative, and resource planning skillsSolid interpersonal skills, team player with excellent people skills.
