Our people are what drive the business forward.We are currently looking for an Asset Protection Supervisor in Nissans Smyrna Vehicle Assembly in Smyrna, TN.

Job functions include but are not limited to : The Asset Protection Supervisor will report directly to the Asset Protection Manager and be functionally responsible for the daily management and oversight of the Nissan Smyrna Scrap program.

The Asset Protection (AP) Supervisor will oversee a team of Asset Protection Technicians direct reports. AP Supervisor will ensure that all AP Technicians follow all Nissan policies and proceduresResponsible for AP Technicians assigned across multiple shifts.

It will be the responsibility of the AP Supervisor to adjust his / her work schedule accordingly, to address any and all management, personnel or investigation concerns that may ariseResponsible for the operational efficiency and upkeep of the scrap collection areas in Smyrna Plant up to and including cameras, card readers, locks, fencing, sign in logs, etc.

Responsible for analyzing all Smyrna cycle loss data to identify any patterns / trends. It will then be the responsibility of the AP Supervisor to conduct comprehensive root cause identification, analysis and investigation into significant and or frequent cycle losses and Receiving Discrepancy Reports (RDRs).

  • The AP Supervisor will work cross functionally across multiple departments to establish preventive countermeasures that address the cycle loss trends identifiedResponsible for conducting thorough investigations into all significant cycle losses as well as internal / external thefts booked by the Smyrna Plant, up to and including Suppliers, Cross-Docks and 3rd PartiesIdentify, promote and implement Asset Protection best practices;
  • serve as the onsite Asset Protection Subject Matter Expert; and work closely with the Physical Security team as neededWork closely with both the Cycle Count and Inventory Control teams regarding inventory discrepancies and obsolescence inventory level reductionResponsible for analyzing all Smyrna production material scrap data to identify any opportunities to reduce scrap and prevent unreported scrap from occurringWork closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Last Mile Logistics, and any additional business units that generate production material scrap, to ensure scrap root cause and effective countermeasures implementedProvides leadership, coaching, training and staff development;
  • Plans and evaluates employee performance; Counsels and disciplines employees as necessary; And monitors time and attendance of subordinatesSupport the Asset Protection Manager with Product Security activities and events;
  • which may include travel outside the plantSupport the Asset Protection Departments strategies, activities, programs and reports as requiredAs necessary, performs other related duties as assigned by managementMinimum Qualifications : 5 or more years of automotive manufacturing experience;
  • Asset Protection supervisory experience within a warehousing and / or manufacturing environment preferredPrevious experience analyzing data and identifying fraudulent activityProven ability to set and execute daily, weekly, and monthly agendasProven ability to successfully manage people, processes, and motivate team membersProven ability to work autonomously with little supervisionDemonstrated ability to build relationships and working in highly cross functional environmentsStrong written skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with great interpersonal skillsMust be able to understand the concept of inventory loss and shrinkage, and the financial implications of itMust have the ability to complete complex investigations and incident reportsMust be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Familiarity with using security equipment such as intrusion detection devises, CCTV, Access Controls systems, etc.Familiarity utilizing a case management, investigative management and / or incident reporting toolStrong knowledge and experience with implementation and utilization of investigation techniques and asset protection principlesHigh School Diploma required;
