Tier 3 Support Engineer


Telecommunications Leader is recruiting for a Tier3 Support Engineer

  • Provide effective and efficient 3
  • level response fault / ticket and management for companies External and Internal Customers

  • Resolve 3rd level issues and escalate issues to Core Engineers / T4(Vendors)
  • EMS / NMS
  • Core Network
  • Fault Management
  • Manage services
  • Monitor the network Using (all NMS and ENMS)
  • Monitoring of Server and services
  • Received and processing of alerts / Escalations
  • Reposing to troubled (Link / issues)
  • Implementing of new platforms
  • Monitoring of all VoIP services
  • Escalating to 3de party and vendors
  • Perform RF planning
  • Perform RF Maintenance
  • Perform Core setup of new installations
  • Perform Setup of new installations
  • Receiving escalated costumer issues and resolving them
  • Adhere to customer SLA MTTR (respond time)
  • Dealing with customers that require a more in dept solution
  • Prioritizing and managing open cases.
  • Providing internal support
  • Monitoring of all managed services
  • Maintaining of all managed services
  • Managing of all internal servers and external hosted servers / services
  • Maintaining our voip setup
  • Qualifications

  • MTCNA and MTCRE or any equivalent
  • UBWS and WBWA or any equivalent
  • NQF5 IT Systems
  • Desirable

  • 4-6 years experience in the Internet service Provider Industry
  • Experience with FreePBX and VoIP
  • Ubiquiti and Mikrotik experience
  • Linux Server / asterisks experience
  • Vibe 4.3 Knowledge
  • Excellent understanding of switching and routing and their related technologies
  • TCP / IP
  • IP Addressing
  • CIDR and DNS. STP, VPN technologies
  • OSPF Excellent RF Knowledge
