This will be a Fixed Term Contract required 3 days per week and based in Carltonville
Qualifications and experience :
Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Heavy Current)
Government Certificate of Competency for Mines & Works
5 years' experience carrying either a 2.13.1 or 220.127.116.11 legal appointment
Proven underground shaft and Winder experience
Valid Certificate of Fitness or the ability to obtain one.
Job Profile (Duties and responsibilities) Accountabilities :
Ensure compliance to all engineering standards and legal requirements
Lead and manage operational effectiveness in support of the mine production plan
Be responsible for 6 Winders, 2 Vertical Shafts, 2 Incline Shafts, 7 Pump Chambers
Haulages, Horizontal Transport of People, and material on 4 Shaft 6 level
Surface installations on 2 Shafts, 2 Consumer Substations, 7 MV substations
Oversee all projects in terms of legal requirements and fulfil the role and obligations a Reg 2.13.1 appointee under the MHSA.
Optimize established engineering technical standards and code of practice
Ensures all Risk Management Process & Procedures are adhered to.
Ensure compliance to all relevant legislation
Promote sound employee relationship and discipline within your area of control and contribute to the same in other areas.
